Barry Flint

Barry is a native of southern Iowa and has spent over 20 years helping people achieve their goals with the support of community banks.He also has owned businesses, worked in production agriculture, agricultural finance and consulting.  Barry has a bachelors degree in Economics from William Penn University and an MBA from St. Ambrose University, along with industry study through national and state banking schools.  Barry is currently active in the Ottumwa Rotary Club and has served on foundation boards and community development boards in various capacities.  His role as president of Hedrick Savings Bank provides the opportunity to lead a local bank in becoming an even better partner with its communities, businesses, and families.

John Helgerson

John is owner and Executive Vice-President of the Hedrick Savings Bank.  In addition to banking, John has worked in real estate, construction, and farmed earlier in life.  He holds an MBA from Drake University and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin.  John continues as part of the Helgerson banking tradition in Southern Iowa and has been with the bank since 1987.  He continues to be active in several local community development organizations.

Shawn Echelberry

Shawn is our Senior Mortgage Lender in Ottumwa.  A Pekin High School graduate in 1988, he then went to Coe College where he graduated with a BA in Mathematics.  Shawn has been a consumer loan officer since 1997 and a mortgage officer since 2000.  He loves football and the outdoors.

Mike Sprau

Mike is our Vice President, specializing in meeting our commercial and business customers needs, whether it be aline of credit, letter of credit, an equipment loan or a real estate loan. Mike has a Bachelors Degree in Finance, from the University of Iowa, and an Associates Degree in Business from kirkwood Community College. Mike has approximately 20 years experience in consumer, construction, business and real estate loans. If you would like to visit with Mike, he is located at our South Market branch.

David Uehling

David is our Assistant Vice President and handles consumer loans as well as commercial loans. David is a native of Ottumwa and over the years he has been involved in many community projects and organizations including: The Chamber of Commerce Partner's in Progress, Noon Lions, and Holiday Nights & Lights. David's work experience includes 6 years as a real estate agent, 2 years as a commercial lender, and most recently was co-owner and manager of Colormaster for 10 years. David is married to Kriss and has 3 adult children, Kaitlin Nickolas, and Kassandra. David is located at our South Market Branch and you can email him at davidu@hedricksavingsbank.com

Kim Fears

Kim is a Branch Manager and Loan Officer at our Hedrick Branch. Kim is an Ottumwa native and started working at Hedrick Savings bank in 2004. Kim is an active member of the Hedrick Housing Board, Hedrick Baseball Program, and the Hedrick Library Board.

Jeff Van Gundy

Jeff is our Ag Loan Officer and is located in our Hedrick office. He has a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Mechanization from Iowa State University. Jeff has a farm background and has worked with Eastern Iowa farmers for over 22 years in Construction Management, Real Estate, Risk Management, and Financing. His background and expertise in helping farmers succeed is the perfect fit for HSB and our community. He is available to meet his clients on the farm or at any of our offices. Lynda Renaud

Lynda is a Branch Manager and Loan Officer at our Kellogg Branch. Lynda has lived around Sully Iowa all of her life and is married with 2 married children and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time she likes reading and flower gardening. Lynda is Vice President of the "Garden Thyme" garden club in Sully and a member of Third Reformed Church in Pella serving on the "Sheltering Tree" staff, helping the less fortunate with their financial needs.
